I started taking Andrea’s yoga classes two years ago because, after many years of aerobic exercise (especially running), I wanted to also focus on becoming more flexible. It’s working: Andrea leads us carefully through strenuous yoga positions balanced with focused breathing and moments for recovery, all with an excellent choreographed flow. I’m really enjoying the combination of yoga and my other workouts, to the point where I’m disappointed if I have to miss a class. This year I’m taking two of Andrea’s classes each week and it’s really making a difference for me, especially for my flexibility and my core strength.

All my life I’ve loved high-impact sports such as tennis, running, step. However, they’ve taken a toll on my knees and I was worried that my active days would be over. I enrolled in Andrea’s Yoga for Athletes class for the first time in 2008, and I swear it’s given me many more years to enjoy my favourite activities. The deep stretches have increased my flexibility and protected my joints. Her instruction is always clear, motivating and fun. In fact, I enjoy her approach so much that this year I’ve enrolled in her iron yoga program, which is giving me greater core strength and balance. By adding these two classes to my regular activities (spinning, tennis and dog-walking), at the age of 51 I feel as though I’m in the best all-round shape ever.

I’ve been practicing yoga with Andrea for many years and her yoga classes are instrumental for me to maintain overall flexibility, core strength and balance. She is an extremely skilled yoga instructor with a incredible repertoire of yoga techniques. Many years of yoga practice strengthened my muscles and allowed me to become and avid runner and biker. Andrea being and athlete herself understands that certain sports can cause imbalances in the body and increase risk of injury, so her classes are designed to improve body alignment and release tension in the body. She is challenging, but gentle at the same time with the same great smile every time. I Highly recommend any of her programs, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been taking Andrea’s yoga classes for a year and a half now and the difference it has made to my overall health has been remarkable. I’ve been active all of my life, playing a variety of sports from hockey to cross-country skiing, running to snowboarding and more. On the flip side, I sit in front of a computer all day and that has taken a significant toll on my back. The combination of Andrea’s “Yoga For Athletes” and “Iron Core Yoga” sessions have been absolutely essential steps in my road back to health. What’s more, Andrea’s style and approach leading her sessions make them a pleasure to attend even when that stretch seems excruciating!

“Yoga is like making a great wine. It takes a long time to master the art, the journey is full of challenges but the rewards are so delectable for your body and soul” I started yoga with Andrea about 1 ½ year ago. I’ve never been in bad shape, but neither would I have considered myself an athlete. Activities and sports such as: Golf, road cycling, downhill skiing and gardening were helping me to stay relatively in shape until recent years. Overworked, overweight and overstressed for an extensive period of time have contributed to erode my physical condition and even threaten my health. I needed something to find balance in my life and get back on my feet. And that’s what Andrea provided me with in her “Core” and “Iron Core” yoga training sessions. At the beginning, I could barely go through a full one hour session. Today, I am attending 3 yoga sessions per week with Andrea. I may never be able to master all the “hips-opener” positions and may be condemned to “sit on a block” forever, but I am continuously improving and as a Type “A” person I will certainly not give up. Thanks to Andrea’s skills, knowledge and training style, I’ve lost 25 pounds, have a better golf swing and better overall body strength.
