Andrea is an avid athlete who enjoys running, cycling, skate skiing, snowboarding and swimming, with a passion for the outdoors, she spends much of her free time on the trails in the Gatineau Park enjoying mountain biking, road biking, trail running, snowboarding and skate skiing.

Andrea began practicing asana (the physical practice of yoga) in her early 20′s as a means to open her tight overworked muscles after years of training for both marathons and triathlons. Her first experience with yoga lit up her life and offered a method of training in a new way. Her practice continues to evolve by drawing inspiration from many different forms of yoga particularly Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and Power. She is known for combining strength and power with softness and fluid motion in a creative flow wrapped together with a little yoga humour. All while instilling the importance of proper alignment and smart sequencing to create a balanced practice with both Yin/Yang Andrea completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training in 2004 at a summer intensive program in Ottawa led by Yogi Vishva. Andrea has taken numerous workshops and trainings over the years but has learned the most from her ever growing students and is currently teaching over 15 classes a week in Ottawa. Andrea’s classes cater for a wide-range of students and include instruction for corporate clients, Ottawa based studios Pure Yoga, Ottawa South Community Centre, personal one on one clients and she facilitates a popular fun Outdoor Fitness class in both fall and spring. Her specialty is Yoga For Athletes, and she taught for the Ottawa Senators for 6 years. Her intention is always to provide a fresh creative class geared specifically to her students at hand. Andrea completed her first Yoga DVD “Yoga for Runners” (2010), and is a Lululemon Athletica ambassador (2010-present). One of he biggest passions is travelling and she leads 7 yoga wellness retreats a year both locally and internationally.
